Bitcoin Radar is owned and operated by My Virtual Shop LLC. This privacy policy explains how we handle data in the Bitcoin Radar iOS app.
Summary
When you accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy on first launch, we record a small consent receipt as legal proof that you reviewed and accepted these documents. This receipt contains:
This consent record is required by EU (GDPR Art. 7) and US privacy law as proof of informed consent. The receipt itself is used only as proof of consent; it is not sold, shared, or used for advertising. The anonymous device ID inside the receipt may also be counted in our aggregate user-base statistics (see Anonymous Aggregate Analytics below). Records are retained for 7 years to satisfy the statute of limitations on consent challenges, then deleted.
In accordance with Apple's App Store Privacy guidelines:
Apple-defined data types we do or do not collect:
All payment processing for Bitcoin Radar Pro is handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We never see, process, or store your payment information, Apple ID, name, email, or any billing details.
To verify your Pro subscription status, our server stores:
This data is used to unlock Pro features on your device and is also counted in anonymous aggregate subscription statistics (e.g. total active Pro subscribers, monthly vs. annual mix, churn). It is not shared with any third party and is not linked to any personally identifiable information.
Our server collects and processes aggregated, non-personal Bitcoin market and signal data from public sources (on-chain data, derivatives, macro indicators). This data is identical for all users and contains no personal information.
For each API request your device makes, our server records the anonymous device UUID and timestamp so we can compute aggregate user-base statistics (active users per day/week/month, retention curves). The UUID is not linked to your Apple ID, name, email, IP address, or any personal identifier. Web request logs do not record full IP addresses.
We collect anonymous aggregate usage metrics on our own server to understand how the app is used and to improve it. Specifically:
What we do NOT do: we do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs (no Google Analytics, no Firebase Analytics, no Facebook SDK, no AppsFlyer, no Mixpanel, no similar service). We do not track you across other apps or websites. We do not sell, share, rent, or transfer any of this data. All analytics data stays on our server. The anonymous device UUID is a pseudonymous identifier under GDPR Art. 4(5) — it is meaningless outside our subscription-verification database and cannot be reversed into your identity.
Bitcoin Radar contains no third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Facebook SDK, AppsFlyer, Mixpanel, or any similar service. We do not track users across apps or websites. The "Tracking" definition in Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework does not apply to our first-party server-side analytics, which is why no ATT prompt is shown.
Web fonts (JetBrains Mono, IBM Plex Sans) are self-hosted on our servers — they are not loaded from third-party font CDNs such as Google Fonts. No font request reveals your IP address to a third party.
To display market data, the app fetches public Bitcoin data from public APIs (Binance, OKX, mempool.space, CoinGecko, Bitcoin Geometrics). These requests contain no user-identifying information — only standard HTTP requests for public market data.
We do not sell, rent, share, or disclose any user data to third parties.
User settings (miner config, notification preferences) are synced to server keyed on anonymous device UUID — no PII linked.
Local app state (caches, temporary UI state) is stored on your device using Apple's standard storage APIs and is not accessible to us.
If you enable notifications, Apple's Push Notification service (APNs) is used. We do not store your APNs device token on any server. Notifications contain no personal identifiers. You can disable notifications anytime in iOS Settings.
Bitcoin Radar is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
We do not collect personal data linked to your identity. The anonymous device UUID we store is a pseudonymous identifier (GDPR Art. 4(5)) — it is generated on your device and cannot be linked back to your name, email, Apple ID, or any other personal identifier without you providing that linkage.
Because we do not hold the linkage between your UUID and your identity, we cannot answer GDPR/CCPA access, correction, or deletion requests that ask "give me everything you have on me" — we have no way to know which UUID belongs to which person. If you want to ensure your device's data is purged from our subscription and aggregate-analytics databases, you can: (1) uninstall the app, which causes your device UUID to stop appearing in any new requests (existing rows remain but become inactive), or (2) contact us with the truncated first 8 characters of your device UUID (visible in the app under Settings → About → Device Token) and request its removal. If you have questions or concerns, contact us.
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the latest revision. Check this URL for the current version.
